Separation anxiety is completely natural and our teachers are trained in gentle transition techniques. We follow a gradual settling-in process where a parent or caregiver is welcome to stay for the first few sessions. Our warm, nurturing classrooms are designed to feel safe and familiar, and each child is paired with a dedicated teacher who builds a one-on-one bond from day one. Most children settle in comfortably within one to two weeks.
We maintain open and regular communication through a dedicated parent-teacher WhatsApp group for daily updates, photos, and announcements. Formal Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) are held every term. For individual concerns, parents can schedule a one-on-one meeting with the class teacher at any time. Our home-school diary also travels with the child every day as a personal written channel of communication.
Child safety is our highest priority. The school has a single entry and exit gate with a trained security guard present at all times. Children are released only to authorised guardians whose details are registered with us. First-aid trained staff are on campus throughout the day. All furniture is child-safe with rounded edges, and electrical points are covered. Regular safety drills are conducted to ensure preparedness.
Yes. CCTV cameras are installed across the premises including classrooms, corridors, and entry/exit points. Footage is monitored by school administration and is available for review in case of any concern. This ensures both the safety of your child and full transparency for parents.
At Rising Scion, we give equal importance to fun and hygiene. We have a spacious sand pit area in our play arena where children enjoy free play and sensory activities in a safe, supervised environment. Trained staff members are always present to assist children after playtime — each child is gently cleaned using soft brushes and proper hygiene practices so they feel fresh, comfortable, and cared for before returning to class.Beyond the sand pit, hygiene is embedded into our entire daily routine. Children are taught to wash hands before and after meals, after using the toilet, and after outdoor play.Classrooms are sanitised daily and deep-cleaned weekly. Toys and learning materials are wiped down regularly. We teach age-appropriate hygiene habits as part of our life-skills curriculum, so children develop healthy practices they carry home too.
We follow a fun and nutritious Theme-Based Tiffin system to encourage healthy eating habits from an early age. Each day of the week has a colour theme — for example, Monday is Yellow Day, where children bring only vegetarian foods of yellow colour in their tiffin, such as corn, banana, dal, or yellow rice. This creative approach makes healthy eating exciting for little ones while ensuring balanced, home-cooked nutrition every day.We encourage parents to send fresh, home-cooked snacks in leak-proof tiffin boxes. Junk food, carbonated drinks, and excessive sweets are discouraged. We periodically share nutritional tips and the weekly tiffin theme calendar with parents so everyone comes prepared.
At Rising Scion, social learning is naturally built into everyday classroom experiences. Our Playgroup and Nursery classrooms are thoughtfully designed without traditional benches, creating a more open, interactive, and child-friendly environment. Children sit together on the floor around large round activity tables where they learn, play, explore, and participate in group activities as a team. We believe that values like sharing, cooperation, communication, and friendship are best learned through daily experiences — not just taught as lessons. We don't just tell children that "Sharing is Caring" — we help them practice it every single day through joyful learning and togetherness. Our core values — Independence, Responsibility, Empathy, Curiosity, Creativity, and Collaboration — are woven into every activity. Teachers use positive reinforcement and guide children to express their feelings and resolve conflicts constructively, building emotional resilience from the very start.
Beyond the core curriculum, children participate in music and movement, clay modelling, finger painting, yoga for kids, storytelling sessions, show-and-tell activities, and free play in our outdoor area. We also integrate dance, dramatic play, and nature-based learning experiences to nurture creativity, motor skills, confidence, and joyful learning in a pressure-free environment. We also have a special Fun Friday concept where children come to school in comfortable casual clothes instead of uniforms and experience practical, activity-based learning. Subjects are taught through fun real-life experiences — English through storytelling sessions, EVS through garden exploration, interactive games, creative activities, and hands-on learning methods that make education enjoyable and meaningful for young minds.
Yes. From Nursery onwards, children are introduced to phonics in a playful, pressure-free manner — through songs, picture cards, rhymes, and games. Pre-writing activities such as tracing, pattern work, and pencil grip exercises begin in Nursery, progressing to letter formation in Junior KG and structured writing by Senior KG. All of this is aligned with NEP 2020 and CBSE guidelines for early literacy.
At A Rising Scion Preschool, we believe that play is the true language of childhood. As a play-based learning preschool in Pune, we create joyful experiences where children learn naturally through exploration, creativity, movement, and meaningful interactions rather than rote memorisation or pressure-based teaching. Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to encourage curiosity and active participation. Instead of traditional bench seating for Playgroup and Nursery, children sit together around large round activity tables that promote teamwork, communication, sharing, and social learning every single day.Children engage in hands-on activities such as sensory play, storytelling, dramatic play, finger painting, clay modelling, music and movement, yoga for kids, dance, art exploration, nature-based learning, and interactive games. Our classrooms also feature dedicated learning corners including a reading nook, creative art zone, and exploration areas where children can independently choose activities based on their interests. We also have a unique “Fun Friday” concept where children come to school in casual clothes and enjoy practical, experience-based learning beyond the classroom. Subjects are taught in exciting real-world ways — such as English through storytelling and role play, EVS through garden exploration and nature walks, and creative concepts through music, movement, and hands-on activities. To make learning even more engaging, we conduct theme-based activities throughout the week, including our healthy color-themed tiffin concept which encourages children to learn about nutrition, colors, and healthy eating habits in a fun and interactive manner. At A Rising Scion Preschool, we focus on creating a warm, pressure-free Montessori-inspired preschool environment where every child feels confident, happy, valued, and excited to come to school each day
Absolutely. Rooted in Indian values, we celebrate a rich calendar of festivals including Diwali, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Holi, Eid, Christmas, and more. Each celebration is an opportunity for children to learn about culture, heritage, and community. Parents are warmly invited to all festival events, making them wonderful opportunities for family involvement and cultural pride.
Yes. Outdoor play is scheduled daily and forms an essential part of our programme. Children develop gross motor skills, spatial awareness, and social skills through structured and free outdoor play. We also organise age-appropriate neighbourhood walks and field visits — to gardens, local markets, and community spaces — to connect learning with the real world. All outings are supervised with a high teacher-to-child ratio and proper safety protocols.
Our Senior KG programme is specifically designed as a bridge to formal schooling. By this stage, children have developed early literacy through phonics, numeracy through number sense activities, and life skills including following instructions, working independently, and managing their belongings. We focus on school-readiness skills like sitting attentively, raising their hand, and collaborating with peers. Our NEP 2020-aligned curriculum ensures a seamless, confident transition to Class 1.
